i should be getting back

Surrounded by birches and marksman graves

The sprinklers misting over the day’s parched grass

and white fences pop up in the strangest places

as if the neighbors want to take themselves back to their youth

but they seem so out of place here

As i yawn and arch my back on the porch lost in reverie’s embrace

awkward childrens flashlight game has not been erased

just forgotten by some.

My weariness overwhelms with the memory of last weekends goodbye

getting caught by fountains rain- ill disguised excuses for attention- and the kisses are given away like a consolation prize. A blessing really we feel so much.

A kickball bounce can be heard in the distance and i should be getting back.

Was this summer everything she promised she’d be? Echoed with confusion my destiny and where i should end up?

Mixed in with feelings for one who is afraid of me sometimes. With too much to say and not enough time.
I should be getting back ,my hometowns calling in for me to lie in the backyard and dwindle into linear line ear. These languid afternoons ahead of me. With time to think about what i’ve done, and what i am going to do.

tiny needles

me under

I'm going to be gone for a while. my song has been
wasted on a limey who digs crime. o' lord
my shoulder has turned in on itself- i've wandered
these halls before with a smile on my face. traced the
burnt brick with my fingertips a hundred times. each
time listening a little more deeply hoping to hear
the clitter clop trop.
revole the door over the bedside
The clouds in my head collide with my memory.
oh baby hit me on my backside
Ive melted on your lips before but now i'm raining,
pouring even. the polar air has blocked me in.
metal doorframes become a place
where it's a safe to triumph. to solicit. the time has come for us to walk
away from the moment and really think it
through mornings silence is broken by trucks passing

.heartfelt fluuter mutter how mothers need to sleep
open the cage of hearts and sing to them softly

A man, a plan, a canal—Panama!

tOmorrow crack the sunlight open wise darling darling

Tomorrow vivd lines creep flatten the soundscape deep till I trickle into you and feel you deep deep inside my gloom

Twirl the girl the break up make up shining designing making it all sound just right so nice theology embers inside the deepest crave

Yesterday lover sung a little clam sung oyster pearly finish wonder inside that manicured maze the beautiful hopeful dazzling autograph of life

Ill do it until im bald and keep going so you can lick my scars my wounds my scalp

Until im frozen
Frozen

Later on maybe we'll talk and everything will be the same but maybe not
Maybe we were never quite what we thought

Smell the deep stink of hunger and desperation floating over the birdy over the net
I look around and feel nothing
At least nothing I would expect

Tragic underground unique extinction
Is it true you can do everything?

Is it true I really want to be like you?

Like lick click stick stuck

It is true eschaton

With your tennis balls flying

I admire you

Truly

Magic believers untie through May we always believe in something

.

The family has spoken and opened up the void

I stand up and take my stand.

The psychic said I would have three great loves

I counted three but it still wasn't right

Quailtät vs. quantity

I feel wistful amidst sunken footrests

As I look at Helen kellers home across the street

And think about mayors and traffic

And nat king cole.
